Imagine looking outside the apartment you're staying in and your notice a bunch of people gathering around. On a typical day on Duval Street this would be fine, however, I saw a movie camera and decided to go check it out for myself. From my room, I walked across the street to Sloppy Joe's, then crossed Duval where the filming was taking place. At first, I didn't know what was going on and heard someone say it was America's Most Wanted taping a segment they were going to air on November 20th, 2004. Below are some other pictures I took while standing around getting a close up look of behind the scenes. I was amazed to see how quickly John did each take and with the crew being under a very tight schedule, he pulled through very well. I couldn't believe how many different lights they had shining on him as well as 4 x 4 reflectors to help with using the sun's natural light. The director was about ready to pull his hair out because of how noisy Duval Street was. Even with telling everyone to be quiet, traffic was their biggest problem. I was just glad to be there to see how everything was done.
